As a person of faith – and one who comes from a highly religious family, gifts that help nurture our belief in Christ, remind of us our purpose here on Earth, or that help draw us closer together as a family, have been some of the most meaningful to my loved ones in the past. So I thought I’d pull together some of my favorite finds and ideas that may help foster those same sentiments for you and the ones you’re gifting to this holiday season.
- Work + Wonder’s new Living products (starting at $2.50) – She has the most beautiful wall decor of different scriptures, hymns, religious sayings, etc. I love the I Am a Child of God banner for a kid’s room! So darling. So many great options for parents or in-laws, too. They are running their Black Friday sale 11/17-11/20!! I’ll be sure to remind you 😉
- Line Upon Line Book of Mormon: Journaling Edition ($59) – I purchased one of these for myself about a month ago. I’ve been needing a better way to really focus in my scripture studies. I love the wide margins for taking notes and jotting down inspiration as it comes during my reading. And it’s beautiful. They also just released an Old Testament version! I’m sure the New Testament one is just around the corner…
- Jen Tolman Jesus Prints ($30-35) – Beautiful paintings of Christ. She has quite a few different color variations and you can choose from a lot of different sizes – starting at 8×10!
- Eve and the Choice Made in Eden by Beverly Campbell ($18) – One of my most favorite books. I always struggled with the way Eve was depicted in some verses of scripture or in discussions in Sunday School… oftentimes finding myself not being able to relate, or feeling like she was being misinterpreted entirely. This book presented her in such a beautiful, approachable, thoughtful way. It tries to tell her complete story – from a historical perspective, a symbolic perspective, and as a way to help us each better understand our purpose of this life here on Earth. It’s so well written and researched. I devoured it as soon as it arrived and love gifting it to other women whenever I can.
- Mother’s Milk by Rachel Hunt Steenblik ($10) – Another hugely inspirational book. Rich poetry echoing what could be our Heavenly Mother’s sentiments and longings for her children. Oh wow it is incredible.
- Caitlin Connolly Art Print – One of my favorite artists. So many of her paintings connect with me in such a deep way. Not all are completely religious, but most of them are. She just has a way of telling such a rich story with everything she creates.
- Flourish Heirloom Nativity Puzzle / Set ($75) – Functional beauty at it’s finest! Such a pretty heirloom-quality wooden set… great for play or display!
- The Life of the Savior: Compiled Solely from Scripture ($45) – A fluid reading of the four Gospel accounts of the Savior’s life and ministry. It also includes modern scripture that refers to the Savior’s life, including verses from the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible. The result is a commentary-free, scriptural account that paints a vivid and insightful picture of the life of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I originally found it through Heirloom Art Co., but it’s currently sold out. The only other place I could find it in stock is on eBay here.
- Religious Print from Heirloom Art Co. – I’ve shared this little boutique on Instagram already, but they just do such a great job curating their print collection, and their physical prints are extremely high quality. Would recommend anything from their shop.
Non-Religious Gifts
- Caitlin Connolly Art Print – Including her in this list, too, because she has some amazing non-religious art as well.
- Made by Mary family florals necklace ($56) – Such a great mother/grandmother gift. A flower to represent each member of the family… all connected to one stem, yet unique in appearance. But there are so many other great Made by Mary pieces you could gift to all different kinds of people on your list.
- Storyworth ($89) – A simple way to capture the never-talked-about or untold stories of your family members! You pay one price, a writing prompt is emailed weekly, and then at the end of the year, a beautiful book is bound for your family to cherish forever. The prompts are so unique and such a great way to get to know your loved ones better.
- Artifact Uprising gift card – I love this company. I usually get all our photos printed through them, but they also have such an extensive list of offerings that are as high quality as they are beautiful. They are the masters of savoring the rich artistry of printed products… anyone would appreciate money to this shop.
